The Keyboarding for the Medical Office course is used as a prerequisite to the health record technology programs and offered to those with beginning and advanced keyboarding skills. This course will introduce and familiarize students with medical and health care terminology, and uses drills and timed-writing to help students perform their duties more efficiently at the workplace.
CSA 283 Z1: Wed: 5:30P.M. - 8:30P.M.; 10 weeks; Cost: $380
Students who are enrolled in this program learn important skills in processing health insurance claims in all aspects of medical insurance, including Medicare, Medicaid, and HMO’s. Relevant information and techniques on the accuracy of claim forms filling and coding diagnoses and procedures are taught in this course.
