Pharmacy Technician
Pharmacy technicians assist pharmacists in various practice settings by entering patient information and data, dispensing commercially available medications or compounding specialty orders, preparing intravenous medications and creating a safe and professional environment for patients. This program trains individuals to effectively assist in pharmaceutical preparations and complete daily required tasks in any pharmacy environment, although on-the-job training is still a part of pharmacy technician training.
This is a 105-hour course that includes 75 hours of instruction in retail and institutional pharmacy practices, 30 hours of dedicated instruction in pharmacy calculations, and meets all requirements for PTCB national certification exam.

Veterinary Assistant
This course is geared toward anyone who enjoys helping animals. Students will be taught how to care for sick and injured animals in a Veterinarian Office, Clinic, or Animal Hospital. Students will learn client relations, office and hospital procedures, animal nursing, exam room procedures (i.e. hospital sanitation, weight/tpr, animal handling, animal restraining, preventative care protocols, etc.), surgical preparation and assisting, laboratory procedures, radiology, and pharmacology.
This is a 120-hour course that includes a 30 hour externship which will take place at a veterinarian office, clinic, or animal hospital.

Medical Records & Health Information Technology
This course will introduce the basic functions of the Electronic Health Record, its benefit to us as health care workers and the benefit to physicians and patients. The course will explore the technological requirement for an Electronic Health Record system and discuss some of the available options. The course will also introduce the best practices for transition from a paper based record to an Electronic Health Record.

- Basic function of the Electronic Health Record Specialist

- Rules and Regulations that govern electronic health record software
- Communicating with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
