Pharos Print management System in the computer Labs

Pharos is a Print Management System that has been implemented in most of the labs on campus. The implementation has enabled Lab directors to track, monitor, audit, and control students printing in the labs. As result, reducing paper and ink waste and save the school money.

All computers in the labs are connected to a network printer nearby and students can print their work in any labs or the Library. The print management and optimization solutions enable students to make responsible printing decisions. At the beginning of each semester, students are provided with 200 sheets of paper free of charge. After using the first 200 sheets, students can go to the Business Office to replenish their account for 10 cents a page. The computer lab printers are for academic use only. Printing less is a green environmentally sound choice that's aligned with the core values of Roxbury Community College.

Policy for all Roxbury Community College Computer Labs:

  1. No food or drink is permitted inside the labs.
  2. Files must be emailed to oneself or saved to a Flash Drive as the computers are cleaned with every login.
  3. Only registered students may use the computer labs—Computers for the community are available in the Timothy Smith Lab.
