ROXBURY COMMUNITY COLLEGE SNOW/INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY


The College will be closed only when RCC makes a public announcement on the radio, television, and College website. Although RCC may close when Boston Public Schools (BPS) close because of inclement weather, the College has no direct affiliation with BPS and, therefore, College personnel should only pay heed to announcements that reference RCC.

 

  • This policy is only in effect Monday through Friday. Closing decisions for Saturday classes will be made by 6:00 a.m. Please tune to local media and/or their websites for the latest closing list.

    •  

  • During finals week in December, should weather conditions warrant closing, the College will make its own decision and announce it via the local media and their websites by 6:00 a.m.

    •  

  • During the February and April Boston Public Schools vacation weeks, the College will make a morning closing decision, based on weather conditions, by 6:00 a.m. Please tune to local media and/or their websites for the latest closing list.

    •  

  • Afternoon closing decisions will be dictated by weather conditions and be announced through RCC e-mail, the RCC website, and via the local media and their websites.
