When designing your Fall 2011 semester, keep in mind these Honors course offerings:
ENG 101 Honors (Prof. Rhonda Gray)            MWF 9:30-10:20 pm
This freshman college writing course examines how Michael Jackson’s body of work has challenged traditional notions of race, gender, and sexuality expressed through the four domains of writing: narrative, descriptive, expository, and argument. We will use the initial study of Jackson’s work to feed a parallel discussion of Hip Hop’s impact on society.

HUM 290 Honors Colloquium (Prof. Nasreen Latif) MW 12:30-1:45 pm
Students enrolled in this seminar will examine the human-environment relationship using a variety of quantitative and qualitative research methods including: cost-benefit analysis, case-study analysis, and policy implementation evaluation. The course is designed to serve as a foundation for upper-level undergraduate topics that utilize the principles of economics, resource management, climate change, pollution, environmental law and public policy.

SSI 232 Urban Economics (Prof. Nasreen Latif) TR 10:00-11:15 am
Students enrolled in this course will discuss problems of urban economics such as poverty, discrimination, housing, education, health, transportation, and crime using Boston as a case study. Note that this course can be customized for Honors credit.
