A note from the Honors Program: Sandra Baptista’s third Honors Project has been submitted for consideration to be included at the Undergraduate Research Conference at UMass Amherst on April 25, 2014. Sandra is an experienced presenter whose local research on Michelle Alexander’s key claims featured in The New Jim Crow: Mass Incarceration in the Age of Colorblindness places Roxbury Community College within the scholarly discourse regarding the legal system’s role in furthering a racially segregated society.
