Grade Point Average (GPA)
Grade points earned in any course are found by multiplying the quality points assigned to the letter grade by the number of credits for the course. The grade point average is determined by adding the total points earned in all courses that semester and dividing this total by the total credits attempted.
Example:
| Credit Hours Attempted | Grade | Quality Points | Attempted Credits | Total |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| English 101 | A | 4.0 | 3 | 12 |
| Math 103 | B | 3.0 | 3 | 9 |
| Science 121 | F | 0.0 | 4 | 0 |
| Business 131 | C | 2.0 | 3 | 6 |
