Accessibility Services
Welcome to Student Accessibility Services (SAS), a resource for students with varying
disabilities and differences seeking support with their academics and extra-curricular
opportunities. Unlike high school, post-secondary students must self-disclose their
disability to receive accommodation.
It is our philosophy that disability is a form of diversity, and it is our mission
to ensure that we are providing equal educational opportunities for students with
disabilities. SAS supports a diverse range of students with disabilities--some of
our students include learners on the autism spectrum, those with learning disabilities,
people living with mental health conditions, individuals who are blind or Deaf, and
students living with chronic health conditions. SAS also works with RCC faculty and
staff to support them in their work in creating an inclusive learning environment
for all students with disabilities.
