Withdrawal Policy

Failure to attend class does not constitute official withdrawal from a course or from Roxbury Community College.

Students who wish either to withdraw from one or more courses in a semester (with plans to return in a future semester) or to withdraw permanently (from all courses and not return to RCC) must complete a Withdrawal Form by the deadline indicated on the academic calendar.

Withdrawals should be discussed with your advisor, and then your completed Withdrawal Form should be submitted to the Registrar’s Office.

Students should check with the Office of Financial Aid to verify the impact on their awards and with the Office of Student Accounts to resolve any account issues.

Permanent withdrawals will receive a Total Withdrawal exit date and hold on their account and will need to reapply if they wish to be reinstated.
