In accordance with Title IX of the Educational Amendments of 1972, absences due to pregnancy or related conditions, including recovery from childbirth, shall be excused for as long as the student’s doctor deems the absences to be medically necessary. When the student returns to the College, they shall be reinstated to the status they held when the leave began, which includes the opportunity to make up any missed work. The college will work with the student and instructor(s) to coordinate such accommodations. Students should contact the Title IX Coordinator directly.
