Roxbury Community College’s physical campus is closed for the holidays and scheduled maintenance from Monday, 12/22/2025 – Sunday, 1/4/2026. Normal business hours resume on Monday, 1/5/2025. Students enrolled in winter session classes should visit their courses in Canvas for information and support instructions. The Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center is closed from Tuesday, 12/23/22025 – Saturday, 12/27/2025, on Monday, 12/29/2025, and on Thursday, 1/1/2026. The Fort

Mission Statement:

Changing lives one credit, program, and opportunity at a time. The Fort is a social, emotional, and experiential learning re-entry program for individuals significantly impacted by incarceration. Current or prospective RCC students enrolled in academic courses or in a workforce development program are eligible for membership. Through access to wraparound services and unwavering guidance and support, The Fort facilitates the successful entry or reentry into the community and the workforce through academic education, life-skills training, civic engagement, community service, and restorative work, all with a focus on mental and physical health.

Project Description:

Through catered, caring, and hands-on involvement with our members, The Fort aims to be the premier collegiate social, emotional, and experiential learning re-entry program in the country. We recruit, engage, and proudly support individuals significantly impacted by incarceration. Our program is available to current and prospective RCC students enrolled in academic courses or workforce development programs. We act as determined and supportive program navigators, providing assistance in securing tutors, mentors, internships, and ultimately a career in the workforce or as a small business owner.
