The Supporting Urgent Community College Equity through Student Services (SUCCESS) Fund was created specifically for Massachusetts Community Colleges to establish wraparound supports and services designed to improve outcomes for their students, particularly those from historically underrepresented backgrounds.
RCC is using SUCCESS funds to establish the Roxbury Scholars SUCCESS Program (RSSP), a new integrated program that complements existing programs and services to improve student success. The College’s culture of inclusion uniquely positions this effort so students continue to improve their graduation rates and achieve success in an ever-changing workplace.
RSSP will offer robust, coordinated, and comprehensive services to support students’ efforts to successfully navigate new and often challenging choices, activities, and decisions critical to college success. The goal of RSSP is to work with students in developing an academic plan to overcome obstacles and barriers in achieving their academic and professional goals.
Students in the program will receive:
• Success Coaching - One-to-One Counseling
• Academic Support in Coordination with Tutors
• Professional Development Workshops
• Skill Building Workshops
• Peer Mentoring
To kick-off RSSP, the Office of Student Life is hosting a grand opening celebration of the Student Success Center! Please keep an eye out for additional information on the grand opening celebration.
