The Genevieve McMillan-Reba Stewart Foundation is partnering with the Roxbury Community College Foundation to support  RCC students and innovative support systems that enhance academic excellence and community.  Thanks to a recent $300,000 endowment, the McMillan-Stewart Foundation is supporting RCC’s mission of transforming lives through excellence, innovation, and active citizenry.

Kibebe Gizaw of the McMillan-Stewart Foundation has a long relationship with RCC, dating back to before the Columbus Ave site.  In 2012, the College received several art pieces from the collection of Mrs. McMillan herself; to this day, those pieces are on display in the RCC Library. Having support from organizations like the McMillan-Stewart Foundation throughout the years has been greatly influential in developing this institution of higher education.

Endowment support from the McMillan-Stewart Foundation and other generous donors sustains the College’s mission and helps us to make a difference in the lives of our students.

The Geneviève McMillan-Reba Stewart Foundation was established in 2001 to realize the vision of its founder, Geneviève McMillan (1922-2008), and to commemorate the life and work of her friend, the artist Reba Stewart (1930-1971).
