Dear RCC Supporters,
As I near the end of my first year as RCC’s President, I am proud of the incredible progress made at the College and grateful for the support I’ve received from the Greater RCC Community.
It has been an honor getting to know many of you over the past 11 months. Whether I met you at a Meet and Greet session, spoke with you at a community gathering, received your written correspondence, or engaged with you at an RCC event, your genuine affection for the College and our students was clear and paramount. I am confident that as long as we continue to collaborate, RCC will thrive.
While I have spent the first year of my presidency learning more about RCC, identifying strengths, and developing plans for the future, I am proud of what the College has accomplished. Thanks to MassEducate & MassReconnect, or Free Community College for All, enrollment increased by 30% from fall 2024 to fall 2025! The College also completed its 10-year accreditation visit with NECHE in April, held the first-ever Hackathon in February, and made significant progress developing the 2025-2030 Strategic Plan throughout the spring semester. Perhaps most importantly, during an uncertain time at the federal level, RCC remained true to its values and commitment to providing a safe, welcoming environment for all students.
In this edition of the Gazette, you will learn more about what makes RCC a unique, future-proof institution. I encourage you to dive into this issue to familiarize yourself with our efforts to enhance career services, meet the new executive leadership team, hear directly from our students and faculty succeeding in STEM, business, and healthcare, and more!
