The Level I course series provides building operators with knowledge and skill enhancement in the key activities associated with energy efficient building operations. BOC training is for building operators with two or more years’ experience in building operation and maintenance, who wish to broaden their knowledge of the total building system. Past participants have included building engineers, stationary engineers, maintenance supervisors, maintenance workers, facility coordinators, HVAC technicians, electricians, operations supervisors, operations techs, and others in the facility operation and maintenance field. Upon successfully completing BOC Level I course, you will earn a BOC Training Certificate of Completion (TCOC) credential. You may also choose to sit for the Certification Exam to earn the BOC Certification and become a Certified Building Operator (CBO). All classes for this course will be offered through online instruction. The cost of this course is $1,895.00.
Building Operator Certification® (BOC) is the leading training and certification program for building engineers and maintenance personnel. Enhanced BOC Level II coursework prepares building operators to evaluate the operational performance of their buildings with a focus on improving energy efficiency. Operators learn how to collect and analyze building data in order to prepare a building walk-through plan to identify opportunities to improve performance. Optimizing HVAC control systems for energy efficiency is highlighted with an emphasis on equipment sequence of operation and functional testing. Students apply the data collection and analysis steps to their own building through a 5-part set of project assignments completed between class sessions. The course culminates with a Project Peer Exchange day, where students will make short presentations to classmates and the instructor on a scoping report for their building. Specific building information is REQUIRED in order to complete project assignments. Please see Level II Project Requirements FAQ for details. Prerequisite: BOC Level 1 Training. Upon successfully completing BOC Level II course, you will earn a BOC Training Certificate of Completion (TCOC) credential. All classes for this course will be offered through online instruction. The cost of this course is $1,895.00.
