*NEW* Introduction to Animation *VIRTUAL COURSE*
*This course will be offered online/virtually. Videos will be accessible for students to watch and learn at their own pace, and then join in for scheduled class times via Zoom to meet with your instructor and fellow students.
This introductory course will teach students the basics of animating from home using a smartphone, pencils, paper, and other common household art materials like pens, markers, and crayons. There is no need for any high-tech programs and techniques, just a willingness to learn how to make drawings and shapes come to life! Students who are interested in adding animation to their own websites, social media sites, and adding a new skill to their repertoire would benefit from this course.
Projects may include: animating text, character gestures, movement, creating animated GIFs, etc.
Required: Smartphone (students will be required to download free apps) | Helpful, but not required: Smartphone tripod
