This introductory course is designed for students with little or no knowledge of Haitian Creole. The focus is on using Haitian Creole to exchange real-life information and ideas, and acquiring functional grammar and vocabulary. The course covers listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, aiming for high novice oral proficiency by the end of the term. Students will be able to engage in basic conversations and express simple needs in everyday situations.
