NEXT SESSION: FALL 2021
*This will be a hybrid course. This means that there are scheduled class meeting times for students to utilize Zoom and access live instruction online, as well as some in-person sessions*
This comprehensive 90-hour program will provide students with the foundation of working with and caring for small animals to prepare them for entry level positions in the animal care field. Students will familiarize themselves with medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, animal husbandry, office procedures, and client services. Special emphasis will be placed on safety of the patient and veterinary staff, along with moral advocacy for the animal or pet. The laboratory component will include demonstrations, practice on models, and hands on instruction.This course will be broken into two components:
- Part 1: 60 hours of classroom instruction, lab exercises, and hands-on training
- Part 2: 30 hours of internship at a neighboring animal hospital, clinic, or veterinarian office

Cost: $1,000
This includes the cost of text books. We accept checks, money orders, credit and debit cards. Financial aid and payment plans are not available.
