Undocumented & DACA Students

RCC is a welcoming and inclusive environment for all learners, regardless of background.  RCC proudly accepts applications from Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) and undocumented students. 

Application Process 

DACA and undocumented students follow the same application process as all other RCC applicants.  Visit the Steps to Apply page to review the process and start your application. 

Undocumented & DACA Students

MA Resident (In-State) Tuition 

DACA students are eligible for in-state tuition and fees. Please submit the following documents with your application to receive the in-state tuition rate: 

  • C-33 work permit (Employment Authorization Documentation) 
  • I-797 (Notice of Action). 
  • Proof of Massachusetts residency 

Financial Assistance 

Undocumented and DACA students are not eligible for state or federal financial aid; however, you are encouraged to review available RCC scholarships, as RCC scholarships are open to all qualified RCC students.   

Currently enrolled or recent graduates of Boston Public Schools: DACA students may be eligible for assistance under the BPS Tuition-Free Community College Plan. Contact TuitionFreeCollege@boston.gov or call the city hotline at 3-1-1 for more information.
