All currently enrolled RCC students, faculty, staff, and administrators, as well as students at other Massachusetts public colleges, are eligible for borrowing privileges. Please present your current RCC photo ID card (or Massachusetts public college ID card) at the Circulation Desk to borrow materials.

When accessing online resources, students will be prompted to log in with their @roxbury.edu email address and the last 4 digits of their student ID number. Faculty and staff will use their @rcc.mass.edu email address and a custom 4-digit PIN number. Please contact the library if you need to reset your PIN.

Since RCC is a member of the Higher Education Libraries of Massachusetts (HELM) network, anyone eligible to borrow materials from the RCC Library also has borrowing privileges at HELM and FLO member libraries.

  • Fifty items may be borrowed at a time.
  • Faculty members may borrow media materials and equipment for classroom presentations.
  • Students may use media materials within the library.
  • Reference books and periodicals do not circulate and must be used within the library.

  • There are no overdue fines accrued for late items; however, fees will be charged for lost or damaged items.
  • Lost items should be reported immediately in order to avoid a hold being placed on your student account.

  • Patrons may request that up to twenty currently circulating items be held for them at the Circulation Desk when returned.
  • You may place a hold in person at the Circulation Desk or by calling 857-701-1380. You may also place a hold electronically by going to the library catalog. Search for the book you'd like to put on hold, then click on Place hold. You will need your User ID (RCC email address) and PIN number.
  • When the item becomes available, you will be notified by email. Materials are held at the Circulation Desk for ten days.
