The RCC Library allows students to borrow a laptop for a semester on a first come,
first served basis.
Students currently enrolled in credit-bearing courses are eligible, excluding those
with holds on their RCC student account.
By borrowing a laptop from the library, each student agrees to the following:
- Return or renew equipment by the due date. A borrowed laptop is considered lost if
the borrowed laptop is not returned 10 days after the due date.
- The student is responsible for a laptop while in their possession. It is the student’s
responsibility to reimburse the college if the items are lost or damaged.
- Students agree to pay the cost of laptop/power cord if lost or damaged:
-
- Lost or irreparably damaged= $750
- The student must notify the library immediately if a laptop is lost, stolen or damaged.
- The College is not responsible for any lost data, documents, or applications the student
may have saved on the laptop. Devices are restored to default meaning everything is
erased upon return.
Any charges are sent to the Student Accounts office for collection and may prevent
a student from registering for classes, obtaining diploma/transcripts, and/or graduating
until paid in full.
