From Introvert to Student Speaker

When Christelle G. Jean-Louis arrived at RCC in Fall 2023, she described herself as reserved. She came to the Admissions Office with her aunt and was disappointed when she thought she was too late to register for classes. Thankfully, after visiting the Financial Aid Office and speaking with a financial aid counselor, she quickly learned that she could register and that she qualified for free community college, which was then offered through the City’s TFCC program.

RCC Celebrates Class of 2026 at 50th Commencement Ceremony

With the theme “The Future is Golden”, Roxbury Community College (RCC) celebrated its largest recent graduating class at its 50th commencement ceremony on Friday, May 15, at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center. The nearly 300 members of the Class of 2026 were recognized for exemplifying the talent, determination, and perseverance that have defined RCC since its founding in 1973. More than 70% of the RCC graduating class of 2026 are Boston residents.

2026 Commencement Honorees

Roxbury Community College (RCC) is proud to recognize three distinguished honorees at its 2026 Commencement ceremony. Each honoree reflects the College’s longstanding commitment to leadership, service, equity, and community impact. This year’s honorees are Judge Leslie Harris (Lifetime Achievement Award), Dr. Charles Anderson (Community Service Award), and Roeshana Moore-Evans (Distinguished Alumni Award).
