Changing Your Course Schedule
Registering (Adding) or Dropping Courses
Many students can register for their courses using the MyRCC student portal, after
they have been accepted to the college. Courses can be added or dropped during the
ADD/DROP period without charge. The Official start and end dates of the ADD/DROP period
can be found on the Academic Calendar listed as “Last Day to Add/Drop Schedule Changes”.
Withdrawing from Courses
Students must complete a Withdrawal Form to be withdrawn from classes. Students should
meet with a member of the Academic Advising staff to complete the withdrawal form. After the withdrawal form is completed, it
is sent to the Registrar’s Office for processing. Students should check with the Office of Financial Aid to verify the impact of course withdrawals on their financial aid awards, and the
Office of Student Accounts, to resolve their student account. The last day for student-initiated withdrawals
can be found on the Academic Calendar and is listed as “Last Day for Student-Initiated
Withdrawal”.
Failure to attend class does not constitute official withdrawal from a course or from
Roxbury Community College.
