English

Students with an interest in writing and literature should consider majoring in English. Standard composition courses ensure students are well-grounded in fundamentals of reading and writing, and introduce students to research methodologies. Literature courses provide comprehension skills while enriching students’ cultural knowledge through globally-informed subjects, such as African-American Literature, African and Caribbean Literature, and others. English 101 Honors is a common gateway into the RCC Honors program.

Build a wider world of understanding and collaboration through the study of world languages. Our goal is to expand your skills and confidence in reading, writing, understanding and speaking the languages you know and the ones you want to master.

Our beginning and intermediate courses in Arabic, French and Spanish can open doors and fulfill requirements for nearly every profession along your way. Talk to us about Mass Transfer. We recognize and appreciate language diversity and we offer honors components for students who want to take a deeper look at the languages spoken all around us.
