Arts and Humanities: Visual Arts

Arts and Humanities: Visual Arts

Located in the Media Arts Center, RCC’s studio art facilities provide students with the space to explore various forms of visual expression. The Visual Arts concentration provides foundational courses for students interested in any arts-related field.  Hands-on Drawing I (HUM 165), Painting I (HUM 170), and Sculpture I (HUM 167) courses give students direct experience with core concepts, allowing them to explore their personal style while developing their academic portfolio. Lecture courses such as Art History and Appreciation (HUM 161) and African Art (HUM 172) introduce art criticism and research through the exploration of a diverse variety of cultures.
