Mathematics

The Associate of Arts in Mathematics prepares students to transfer to a four-year institution to earn a bachelor's degree. It is the first rung on a ladder to higher degrees and opportunities. The degree is part of the Mass Transfer agreement; graduates may continue to public or private four-year schools after completion. Earning this degree at RCC is the first step to many rewarding and sought-after careers.

Program Outcomes

As a result of completing the mathematics program at RCC and all the assigned work, the graduate of this program shall be able to:

Apply mathematics to solve problems in fields including but not necessarily limited to engineering, physics, economics, data science and/or biological sciences.
State mathematical ideas algebraically, numerically, graphically, and verbally.
Make connections between mathematics and the real world.
